Find a Diabetes Alert Dog Trainer

The Diabetes Alert Dog Alliance is posting the following professional trainers’ contact informationĀ in an effort to help people find someone who will help them obtain a diabetes alert dog trainer.

All the trainers on the website have attended training to learn how to train Diabetes Alert Dogs, and many have decades of experience with all breeds of dogs, service work, and other general dog training.

Ask to see the person’s credentials if they do not show them to you and ask for references if you have any doubts. Working with a local trainer will help keep the cost of the Diabetes Alert Dog down and offer you the best follow-up support.

Please note: the Diabetes Alert Dog Alliance does not police or monitor the trainers on this list. If any legitimate complaint is lodged against a trainer, if the trainer is suspended from any professional organization for misconduct, or if the trainer is known to have criminal charges for animal abuse filed against him or her, that trainer will be taken off the list. Otherwise, it is up to the consumer to ask for credentials and to carefully discuss any business thoroughly with the trainer before signing any contracts or making any payments.
